It’s time for some good good cake! Whether you’re vegan, avoiding dairy, nuts or eggs, or after something sans gluten, we’ve got you covered*. Create the celebration cake of your dreams by choosing from our menu of carefully considered flavour combinations, all of which can made to suit your needs.
All cakes are made to order in Preston, Naarm/Melbourne, on Wurundjeri land, by Philippa (Pip) O’Shea (she/her).
Pip is a long-time baker, full-time epicurean and cook, and avid recipe developer. Good Good Cake was started as a Covid lock-down project to stave off boredom and help friends and loved-ones celebrate in isolation. It has now blossomed into an (almost) full-time dream job. Pip has made cakes for national campaigns for Typo (Cotton On), editorials for InStyle Australia, and has had work featured in Elle Singapore and Together Journal. Not simply satisfied with making bespoke celebration cakes, Pip has also added a wholesale arm to Good Good Cake, supplying cafes around Melbourne. You can find her work as Assembly Carlton, and Zen Arcade (Preston).
When it comes to cake decorating, Pip is completely self-taught, and has honed in her signature style of vintage-inspired buttercream piping with a tinge of the weird and abstract thrown in for good measure. Whether you’re looking for a memorable birthday cake, or a truly unique show-stopping wedding cake, Pip can make it happen.
*While we take the upmost care when making your cake, our kitchen is not a dedicated allergy-free space, and all surfaces and equipment come in contact with gluten, eggs, nuts and dairy. Please understand that we cannot take on your order if you have a severe or life-threatening allergy.
